Dr. Mirbod attended the University of Toronto for his undergraduate studies, where he earned a Bachelor's degree, followed by a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering. He then went on to study Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario, graduating in 1993. After practicing General Dentistry for six years, he returned to the University of Manitoba and completed the specialty Periodontics program. He is the Past President of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology and the Atlantic Society of Periodontists and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr. Mirbod specialises in the management of hard and soft tissues surrounding the teeth and performs surgical procedures such as crown lengthening, soft tissue grafts, bone grafts, implant placement and biopsies. He practices in Halifax and is a partner at Park Lane Dental Specialists. In addition to a busy practice schedule, Dr. Mirbod enjoys teaching in the undergraduate and graduate periodontal programs at Dalhousie University, where he is an Associate Professor.
