Have you been referred to us for orthodontic treatment for misaligned teeth or a bite issue such as an under or over-bite? While you are probably familiar with braces there are many other orthodontic treatments available that can help you get a straight, even smile.

Braces

Braces are the best-known orthodontic treatment. They work by gently guiding, turning, and repositioning your teeth into proper alignment. During treatment you will need to visit our office periodically to check your progress and to make any necessary adjustments to your braces. Braces are available in metal and ceramic styles with tooth-coloured and invisible options.

Aligners

Aligners are removable plastic trays that fit over your teeth. They work in a similar way as braces, although instead of regular adjustments you will come to our office every few weeks for a new set of aligners. Each new set of aligners is slightly different and places more pressure on your teeth. You can remove aligners while you are eating or brushing your teeth so some people find them to be more convenient than braces.

Elastics

Elastics are used when it’s necessary to apply a higher level of force to your teeth than braces or aligners will support. They can be removed when you eat or brush your teeth.
