Dr. Batista

Dr. Batista was was born and raised in the Brazil where he received his D.D.S. from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul in 1988. After working as a general practitioner he enrolled in a Masters Degree and Specialty Program in Periodontology becoming a specialist in 1998. In 2000 he enrolled the DSc. Program in Oral Biology at Boston University, graduating in 2005.

In Canada since 2013, Dr. Eraldo Batista is a certified Periodontist, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and works as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University. As a clinician scientist Dr. Batista has focused on clinical work and clinical/basic research with more than 30 publications in peer reviewed prestigious dental and medical journals. He is also a Fellow and Speaker for the International Team for Implantology (ITI), located in Bern, Switzerland.

Eraldo enjoys practicing all aspects of Periodontics including surgical and non-surgical periodontal disease management around natural teeth and implants, soft and hard tissue augmentation, and implant replacement therapy.

Eraldo is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese. In his free time, he enjoys the company of his wife and 3 daughters, traveling, cycling, reading, playing tennis and studying classical .
